Last week, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) issued its latest report, the last one while we still have a slender chance of preventing the worst. Such was its existential significance that the United Nations Secretary-General called it “a survival guide for humanity.” For us Pacific islanders, there is no place to hide from the climate crisis, no denying the reality we are facing.
