Comment on Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews gets four-year extension that makes him NHL's top-paid player

Toronto Maple Leafs star Auston Matthews will average $13.25 million in the new deal, passing Nathan MacKinnon's $12.6 million cap hit.       

Rick Jeanneret, the Hall of Fame hockey broadcaster who called Buffalo Sabres games for over 50 years, has died at 81.       

Three-time Stanley Cup-winning captain Jonathan Toews said he will take time off this season, the third time he has sat out because of health issues.
