Jump in the wayback machine. The Broncos didn’t just debut their Mile High Collection on Monday. They also unveiled a throwback option, as well. The Broncos throwback uniform is designed to be essentially an exact replica of the 1977 uniform and is an ode to the domination of the Orange Crush years. Because of the modern nature of uniforms now, there’s no number on the shoulder sleeves, but other than that the color scheme, retro helmet design and logo and rest of the kit was designed exactly to 1977, down to the stripe combinations on the socks. The uniform features legacy blue helmets with white face masks, a clean front bumper plate on the helmet and orange uniforms with white numbers. The retro uniforms will not be available for the public to purchase until July, but they’ve got ways for fans to sign up for notifications for when they’re set to go on sale.
