Cops: W-b Couple Starved Dogs

A couple left their dogs unfed for two weeks in the basement of their Wilkes-Barre residence, police said. Brian Shaffer, 39, and Irene Ogrodnick, 47, both of 99 Beech St., were each charged with simple assault, harassment and animal cruelty after police arrested them following a domestic dispute.
