Staff reportsMIDWEST CITY — A Midwest City ordinance requiring face coverings will continue through Sept. 22, when the city council will consider ending, modifying or extending the measure. The Midwest City Council approved the emergency public safety ordinance last week that requires people to wear face coverings over their noses and mouths while in public places wherever it is not possible to maintain social distance from others. “The city council’s goal in passing this ordinance is to protect the safety of our residents, as well as those who work here and visit our city," City Manager Tim Lyon said.
