By Steve LackmeyerBusiness writerslackmeyer@oklahoman.comCostco is pulling back on its promised wages for a new operations center in northwest Oklahoma City, but as part of a requested amendment the retailer is pledging to increase the workforce from 1,044 to 1,503 new hires.The original proposal, approved both by the Oklahoma City Economic Development Trust and the Oklahoma City Council, provides for $3 million in incentives to be paid to Costco in exchange for creating an operations center with average annual wages totaling $60,000 in three years.The amended proposal increases the hiring to 1,503 jobs over five to seven years, with about 1,000 to still be hired within the first three years.Read more on NewsOK.com
