The mother of a coach accused of molesting his young hockey players has been charged with threatening the mother of one of his alleged victims, prosecutors said.Louise Martino, 55, of Winthrop pleaded not guilty in Lynn District Court to a single count of witness intimidation for sending a threatening note via social media.She was released on personal recognizance.Prosecutors said the night after her son was last in court, Martino took to social media.

A Weston cop was arrested by fellow cops from his own department after he plowed into a car in the police station’s parking lot and drove off, prosecutors said.Leo Richards, 54, of Weston pleaded not guilty in Waltham District Court to drunken driving and improper storage of a firearm, prosecutors said.“Richards has been placed on administrative leave from the Weston Police Department and has surrendered his badge, firearm and license to carry to Weston Police,” Middlesex District Attorney Marian T. Ryan’s office said in a statement.

BOSTON — The Boston Symphony Orchestra says prominent conductor Charles Dutoit sexually harassed at least four women who worked for the orchestra in the 1980s and 1990s.The orchestra announced Friday an independent investigation had determined allegations from former intern Fiona Allan against the Swiss conductor are "credible." The investigation also deemed allegations from three other unidentified women were also credible.A representative for Dutoit didn't immediately respond.

WORCESTER, Mass. — Authorities say an 85-year-old woman has died in a Massachusetts house fire that was spotted by a firefighter heading into work, who then helped a rescue a man from the home.Worcester fire officials say the city fire lieutenant spotted the flames at about 7 a.m. Monday and brought one man to safety. Fire crews then arrived and pulled the woman and another man from the building.All three people were taken to the hospital where the woman later died.

CAMBRIDGE  — Harvard University has placed a professor on administrative leave following a series of sexual misconduct allegations.In an email sent to students Sunday, the university's Faculty of the Arts and Sciences dean Michael Smith says Professor Jorge Dominguez is on leave effective immediately pending a "full and fair review of the facts."Smith says the FAS will not tolerate sexual harassment, and he encourages anyone who has witnessed sexual harassment to come forward.
