Cpuc May Fine Pg&e For 2012 Demolition Fatality

The California Public Utilities Commission voted Thursday to consider penalties against Pacific Gas and Electric Co. for the June 2012 death of a demolition worker at the company's former power plant at Coffee Road. The decision came after commission staff determined the San Francisco-based utility neglected to ensure safety at the site and improperly delegated its oversight duties to an outside contractor, among other alleged failings.
