SCHENECTADY - Around 5 p.m. Wednesday, Donna Robinson turned the corner of Park Avenue to see her home smoldering. She immediately ran inside, woke up as many of her eight neighbors as she could find, and then waited for firefighters to attack the blaze. The fire started in an apartment on the three-story building's top floor, with smoke quickly spreading into the walls before peaking into what neighbors said were 15-foot high flames coming from the roof.
