San Francisco firefighters were battling a raging three-alarm blaze in the Mission District on Wednesday evening, officials said. Smoke rose from the roof of a residential building and filled the area around 22nd and Mission streets as onlookers crowded the area. The smoke could be seen for miles around the city.
