Unified Fire Authority crews quickly knocked down a two-alarm house fire in Cottonwood Heights on Friday afternoon. The fire in a garage at 2533 E. 6485 South was initially reported at about 2 p.m. UFA officials said the fire was put out just before 3 p.m. Friday, and that no one was injured. Police reported that UFA firefighters had saved the familyâs Christmas gifts. The Tribune will update this story as more information becomes available.
