The building housing the Judith Svalander School of Ballet was struck by a vehicle sometime overnight, it said on its Facebook page Monday. Staff said it appears the vehicle jumped the curb onto the sidewalk outside the school, 83 E. Woodstock St., Crystal Lake, and collided with the facade under the school's front windows. "Luckily, it doesn’t sound like anybody was injured," the school stated. Though they notified the Crystal Lake Police Department on Monday morning, the driver has yet to turn himself or herself in by Monday evening, they stated. The damages will not prevent the school from remaining open, they posted, so classes will continue as usual.
