Faith Lutheran High School might be on the verge of closing. The school, 174 McHenry Ave., Crystal Lake, has faced years of declining enrollment and budget concerns. Board members recently recommended that the school be closed immediately. However, the decision whether to remain open for the 2018-19 academic year will be made by the Board of Delegates, a group of people selected from each of the community congregations. That meeting will be held Aug 2. If the school is closed before the new school year, the board has decided that 50 percent of prepaid fees and tuition will be refunded by Aug.
