The cyclist — who was identified by the Santa Rosa Press Democrat as 54-year old Edward Lund — was traveling at an estimated 35 miles-per-hour down a steep stretch of Hauser Bridge Road near the Gualala River when he lost control and careened off the road. Timber Cove Fire Department personnel witnessed the accident and immediately provided aid and an ambulance was on scene within minutes.
