A Haverford physician and his receptionist surrendered this morning on charges involving what Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan called "unlawful administration and distribution of opioids."Steven A. Friedman, 74, of Newtown Square, and Margaret M. McGowan, 79, of Broomall, surrendered at Delaware County Criminal Investigation headquarters, accompanied by an attorney, and will be preliminarily arraigned on charges, including four counts of administration of a controlled substance by a practitioner and one count of conspiracy.
