AlbanyWith a little over a week until primary day, challenger Dan Egan has plunged more than $100,000 of his own money toward his bid to unseat County Executive Dan McCoy.Campaign finance disclosures filed Monday by Egan's campaign reveal the Albany Democrat loaned his campaign another $67,000 between Aug. 8 and 21, bringing the total for the year to $116,500.That's nearly double the $63,237 Egan, a state Health Department administrator, has raised from outside sources over the course of the campaign.Egan's late push, fueled almost entirely by those loans, stands in stark contrast to McCoy, who appears to have taken his foot off the gas pedal when it comes to fundraising — bringing in less $6,000 over the same period, mostly from unions.McCoy, a first-term Democrat also from Albany, has still outspent Egan by more than $45,000 since Jan.
