BROOKFIELD - Two Danbury residents were arrested on assault charges after a domestic disturbance on Candlewood Lake Road Wednesday. According to police, officers arrived at the home at around 10:30 p.m. and charged Jonathan Joyner, 19 of Nichols Street in Danbury, with third-degree assault against a pregnant woman. Alexandra Leeds, also of Danbury, was also arrested and was charged with third-degree assault, police said. Both were released from custody on promises to appear in Danbury Superior Court for their arraignment hearings Thursday.
