Fear-of-missing-out, or FOMO. FOMO is "a pervasive apprehension that others might be having rewarding experiences from which one is absent," according to Wikipedia. FOMO got the best of me at South by Southwest in Austin last week. But, it was only because my first full day at the festival was spent at Fader Fort, one of the festival's most popular events, known for having great surprise acts.
