Free-agent outfielder Delmon Young was arrested after he choked and threatened a parking attendant at a Miami hotel Sunday night, police said. Young, who appeared in 52 games for the Orioles last year, grabbed the attendant’s neck and called him a “stupid Cuban,” according to an arrest report. Cuban infielder Yulieski Gourriel and his younger brother slipped away from their hotel in the Dominican Republic in an apparent effort to launch careers in Major League Baseball. Right-hander Gavin Floyd agreed to a $1 million, one-year contract with Toronto; he can make an additional $1 million in bonuses based on days on the active roster. Activists planned a candlelight vigil outside the home of Baylor University’s president to protest what they regard as the university’s weak policing of sexual misconduct, particularly by student athletes. The prayer vigil follows an ESPN report this month about three students who said the university failed to act on allegations that they were sexually assaulted by a former football player later convicted in one of those cases. In a letter, Baylor President Kenneth Starr said university leaders’ “hearts break for those whose lives are impacted by execrable acts of sexual violence.” Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma will undergo knee surgery that will rule him out the rest of the season and the European Championship for France.

Second-year player Drew Sanders tore his Achilles tendon about a month ago during the early part of Denver’s offseason workout program, sources confirmed Monday to The Post Sanders, a third-round draft pick in 2023, played inside linebacker after first being drafted and then during the season switched full-time to outside linebacker. All told, Sanders played in all 17 games as a rookie, started four and finished with 24 tackles (one for loss).
