Denver has claimed the throne as the metro’s area most expensive city in which to rent a one-bedroom apartment, according to a report from real estate listing site Zumper. Examining a collection of apartment listings that went on the market in December, Zumper staff member Crystal Chen determined that the Mile High City’s median one-bedroom rent of $1,530 per month was the highest among 12 major metro cities. A $20-rise between November and December catapulted Denver past Broomfield and Centennial for the top spot.
