The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents of a scam involving someone posing as a lieutenant and demanding money, according to a statement from the department. The department has received two phone calls recently from individuals claiming they were contacted by a Lt. Paul Johnson. The phony officer would instruct victims that they failed to appear for jury duty and would be arrested if they failed to provide money via a Green Dot card. read more
