Mexico’s President-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum, an energy engineer and physicist by training, has published widely on the energy transition and greenhouse gas emissions as an environmental scientist. Thailand kicked off its celebration of the LGBTQ+ community’s Pride Month with a parade Saturday, as the country is on course to become the first nation in Southeast Asia to legalize marriage equality.
The annual Bangkok Pride Parade filled one side of a major thoroughfare with a colorful parade for several hours in one of the Thai capital’s busiest commercial districts.
“A federal grand jury is reviewing evidence as part of the Manhattan U. S. attorney’s investigation into Mayor Eric Adams’ 2021 campaign ties to Turkey, and at least one person linked to the mayor has received a subpoena in recent weeks,” the New York Daily News reports.
“The evidence being reviewed by the grand jury focuses on allegations that Adams’ 2021 campaign received illegal donations from the Turkish government.”
