Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in March has traditionally been a time in Lake County to celebrate individuals with disabilities in the community.The Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities/Deepwood has many activities that start March 2 with a Read Across America event in collaboration with local school districts, said Lynnmarie Landwei-Phillips, the agency's director of marketing.
