It took Democrats John Dingfelder and Linda Saul-Sena several months of stumping in a recession, but the two raised more than $70,000 toward their run for seats on the Hillsborough County Commission. But because Dingfelder and Saul-Sena stepped down from their races amid legal challenges from county Republicans, they are required to give most of the money back.
