Discussion About Safety Ongoing At Kingsport Ymca

KINGSPORT - Nothing “earth-shattering” came out of a recent meeting between city and YMCA officials about safety and discipline concerns at the Kingsport Aquatic Center, though officials who attended the meeting say both sides are going to take steps to improve communications, better enforce the rules and see if additional security measures are necessary at the two facilities.Mayor Dennis Phillips called last Tuesday's meeting about two weeks after a fatal stabbing took place in the parking lot of the two facilities.
