There was a 7-2 split in favor of not raising interest rates at the last Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee, the central bank has reported. That's a bigger split than expected. Analysts expected an 8-1 split in favor of keeping rates at their current low level. The two most hawkish members voted for the rate rise.
