Mitchel Kiefer was driving to Michigan State University last September when his car was rear-ended by a distracted driver on I-96 near the Williamston exit. His car crossed into oncoming traffic where it was struck by an oncoming truck. The 18-year-old graduate from Detroit Catholic Central in Novi was killed instantly.
