PHOENIX -- Lance Lynn pitched into -- but not through -- the sixth inning Tuesday. It qualifies as a 2019 spring training breakthrough but would be just another start for the 2018 team. Which was a major problem. Too often the Rangers’ starter failed to make it through six innings, putting ever-mounting loads on a bullpen until it broke.Rangers starters pitched 846 innings - an average of just under 5 1/3 innings per game - in 2018.
