The senior pastor at Mars Hill Church, Mark Driscoll, has delivered a long summer video/letter to mega-church members in which he admits to conflict with “a group of largely anonymous former leaders,” acknowledges “hurt” and speaks vaguely of reconciling with critics. Mark Driscoll: “Ihank you for allowing me to be your pastor. I love you with a deep affection.” The half-hour message is far less apologetic than a mea culpa delivered by Driscoll in March, when he lamented for hiring a firm to game sales of his book “Real Marriage,” took himself off the internet, and pledged to back off from being a celebrity.
