A temporary ban that prevents developers from putting up new buildings on East Palo Alto's west side will likely be extended to allow planners more time to finish development guidelines for the area, Mercury News reported. The area, which sits on the west side of Highway 101, is home to most of the city's rent-controlled apartments.
