An alleged heroin dealer from Elgin faces criminal charges in the 2018 overdose death of a 30-year-old West Dundee woman. Kane County State’s Attorney Joe McMahon charged 22-year-old Gehovani R. Gomez, of the 800 block of Bode Road, on Wednesday with drug-induced homicide in the death of Crystal Villegas. Villegas allegedly overdosed and died from ingesting heroin she purchased from Gomez on Sept.
