Enrollment Is Down At Ny's Private Colleges, But Is Free Tuition To Blame?

ALBANY — Private colleges and universities in New York that have historically enrolled students from within the state experienced a steep drop in enrollment this fall compared to a year ago, according to a new report published Tuesday.The report from the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities notes these schools also shed a significant chunk of their workforce over the same period.
