FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) — The federal Environmental Protection Agency is changing the location of an air monitoring site in the Fairbanks North Star Borough and local officials are predicting it will result in higher readings of winter pollution. Fine particulate has been linked to heart attacks, decreased lung function and premature death in people with heart or lung disease.
