The Justice League isn’t the first team of superheroes to emerge in the DC Comics Universe, but it’s undoubtedly the most famous. The original Justice League of America was conceived and written by Gardner Fox and debuted in 1960’s “The Brave and the Bold - NUMBER 28”. That comic united seven pre-existing heroes - Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter - as they joined forces to battle the enormous alien villain known as Starro.
