Published 06:40 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2012 Former Galveston County District Clerk Jason Murray was sentenced to 250 days in Harris County Jail on Monday for violating his probation by threatening to kill his wife after already being convicted of beating her. A fourth violation, a DWI stemming from a March 27 arrest, was abandoned by prosecutors because the case is still pending, said prosecutor Jane Waters. The 37-year-old admitted to striking his wife after a Christmas party last year and received two years of probation. Uniforms from Murray's previous employment at the Harris County Sheriff's Office were turned over to authorities.
