Nintendo of America is selling its majority stake the Seattle Mariners to a group of local owners headed by minority owner John Stanton. The sale values the team at $1.4 billion and will be finalized in August, at which time Mariners Chairman and CEO Howard Lincoln, 76, will retire. Stanton will then take the reins as CEO. Lincoln took some time to speak to the Puget Sound Business Journal right after the Mariners’ press conference announcing the news: Is this a bitter sweet moment for you?
