VANCOUVER, B.C. -- Captain Matt Hedges scored with his head from extremely close range in the 87th minute as FC Dallas snapped a seven-match winless streak (0-3-4) at Vancouver with a 2-1 victory Sunday to regain first place and take full advantage of a dream weekend in the Western Conference.The victory gives FC Dallas (15-6-8, 53 points) a two-point lead over second-place Sporting Kansas City with five games remaining, and the team gained three points on four of the other five sides currently in a Western Conference playoff position.FCD opened the scoring in the 42nd minute following a foul on Reggie Cannon.
