Fedex-tnt Merger Receives U.s. Antitrust Approval

FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) has received regulatory antitrust approval in the U.S. for its merger with Dutch package delivery counterpart TNT Express. In a listing filed Tuesday, the Federal Trade Commission named the TNT-FedEx merger among the list of approved deals. FedEx and TNT have yet to receive antitrust approval from the European Union, but the companies said they have received word that the Union has no objections to the $4.4 billion euro merger.
