FBI investigators are collecting information about U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown’s involvement with the Jacksonville-based Community Rehabilitation Center, Inc. over at least six years, documents obtained by the Times-Union show. Agents subpoenaed the nonprofit — led by City Councilman Reginald Gaffney — and a foundation formed to support it last week, but the substance of those subpoenas has not been previously reported. The subpoenas require CRC to release records to a federal grand jury about any gifts, cash or checks that Brown provided between 2009 and 2014. read more
