Festival Closes Downtown Streets

Several downtown streets will be closed while crews prepare for this weekend’s Arts in the Hearts festival. The festival runs from Friday to 7 p.m. Sunday. Officials said all closures will be reopened at festival’s end as soon as tents are removed and the sheriff’s office deems the area safe for traffic. Already Closed - Parking well on the 700 block of Broad Street across from The Augusta Chronicle and Imperial Theatre - McCarten Street next to the downtown Family Y - Ninth Street from Ellis to Broad streets read more
