Film Movement Acquires 'whistle'

Demi Moore has opened up about feelings of vulnerability during an incredibly revealing scene in her new horror movie, The Substance. The film follows a declining actress, Elizabeth Sparkle (Moore), who takes an experimental substance to reinvigorate her youth and her career. The black market drug replicates her cells, creating a younger, better version of herself (played by Margaret Qualley).

Director K. Asher Levin will join forces with two icons of horror for his new movie, The Possession at Gladstone Manner. Currently filming in Kansas City, the film stars Barbara Crampton and Lin Shaye, two names that have become synonymous with the horror genre over the decades. In the 1980s, Crampton starred in such films as Re-Animator, From Beyond, and Chopping Mall, while Shayes pedigree goes all the way back to A Nightmare on Elm Street, though more recently she has become known for her role in the Insidious franchise.

Legendary producer Jerry Bruckheimer has pushed back against this month's reports that Brad Pitt's Formula One movie, directed by Top Gun: Maverick's Joseph Kosinski, will be one of the most expensive movies of all time. While speaking to MovieWeb about his beautiful new film with Disney and Daisy Ridley, Young Woman and the Sea, Bruckheimer was kind enough to shed light on new reports that Pitt's film has been pushing budgetary boundaries to a total in excess of $300 million.

Logan star Hugh Jackman has offered further insight into why he has decided to return as beloved X-Men member Wolverine and team-up with Ryan Reynolds Deadpool in the MCUs Deadpool & Wolverine. Renowned movie studio A24 has released our first look at Hollywood superstar Dwayne The Rock Johnson as UFC champion Mark Kerr in The Smashing Machine. Set to be directed by Uncut Gems filmmaker Benny Safdie, The Smashing Machine will tell the story of the mixed-martial artist, and promises to be much more dramatic fare than Johnson is used to.

Academy Award nominee and Dune 2 star Austin Butler has broken his silence over the ongoing rumors that he will play a major role in Heat 2, the crime thriller follow-up from director Michael Mann. When the rumors were addressed recently by Total Film, Butler kept things suspiciously close to his chest, praising the first movie and offering the kind of response that is sure to simply add more fuel to the speculation fire
