The latest installment in the Final Fantasy series is finally coming to PC, with an early 2018 release window. Square Enix made the announcement at partner Nvidia's press event during Gamescom, announcing that the port will be available for Windows 10, Steam and Origin. The PC version will be capable of running in full 4K, with a myriad of graphical improvements including "realistic turf, advanced hair simulation and high quality ambient occlusion" among others. Game director Hajime Tabata has long expressed a desire to see the game come to PC, and Square Enix previously showed off a tech test utilising Nvidia's technology at GDC 2017. Continue reading…
