A Frito-Lay factory caught fire in West Valley City on Wednesday afternoon, causing minor damage. Accumulated material in a furnace near the ceiling caught fire about 4:30 p.m., said Bob Fitzgerald, West Valley City Fire Department battalion chief. Crews put out the blaze on the roof of the factory, near 6300 West and 4700 South, ârelatively quickly,â and no one was injured, Fitzgerald said.
