Oakland firefighters were battling a smoky two-alarm fire aboard a ship berthed at the port on Sunday evening, a fire chief said. There were no injuries in the blaze, which broke out at around 6:00 p.m. and was controlled in about 40 minutes, according to battalion chief Geoff Hunter. Flames were reported inside an officer’s cabin and on the sixth deck.
