A Kearns home is likely a loss after flames tore through it Saturday afternoon. Unified Fire Authority firefighters, whose station was just down the street from the house, responded to the blaze about 4:50 p.m. They found the one-story house, near 4500 W. 4900 South, âheavily involved with fire,â said UFA Battalion Chief Brian Anderton. Two parents and their adult son live at the house, but only the son was home when the fire started, Anderton said.
