CRAGSMOOR – Firefighters hope to have the fire at Sam's Point Preserve fully contained by late Thursday afternoon. At about 10:45 a.m., about 60 percent of the fire, which has covered nearly 1,900 acres on the Shawangunk Ridge, was contained, according to Jim Hay, public information officer with the state Department of Environmental Conservation.
