FirstEnergy Corp.'s CEO today said the company intends to sell or close all of its power plants, including the nuclear plants it hopes Ohio lawmakers will support by creating customer-paid "zero emission credits" it would use to boost profits. Once considered "too cheap to meter," the power the reactors generate is more expensive than power from gas turbine plants, once all of the costs are included.
