Five-star Commitments Catalyzed Oklahoma's Spring Game Weekend Recruiting Success

After decommitting from the Sooners in 2017, the five-star wide receiver was ready to make another pledge to OU — this time, one that would stick. But the timing of his announcement had to be perfect, not only for himself, but for his future program. So he and fellow five-star wide receiver Arjei Henderson, who had also committed and then decommitted from OU in 2017, decided they would make their announcements in tandem tweets on Friday afternoon before the April 14 spring game. “I knew it would catch a lot of eyes and momentum for other recruits,” Wease told The Oklahoman in a Twitter message. Mission accomplished. Coach Lincoln Riley's Twitter account was a stream of eyeball emojis as the Sooners gained six more commitments by the following Wednesday.Read more on NewsOK.com
