In traditional physical therapy, a physical therapist conducts an evaluation that includes review of the medical history, current medications, gathering information about the history related to current functional impairments or limitations and associated pain. Then, a physical therapy examination is performed, a plan of care and goals are established and follow-up treatments are scheduled.
