Flood Recovery Continues In Linn County

CEDAR RAPIDS — The Cedar River continues to drop in flood-striken Palo.According to Linn County Emergency Management, roughly 35 parcels in Palo are still surrounded by water. Authorities said the mandatory evacuation area in Palo remains to be controlled until preliminary damage assessments are complete. In Cedar Rapids, the HESCO barriers surrounding the Linn County Sheriff’s Office are being removed and the patrol, communications and administration divisions are continuing to operate out of the Marion Police Department.
